Responsibilities
Documentation Specialist plays a key role in building and improving documentation of Merge Mansion development to enable us to record and track content, practices and learnings, effortlessly. In practice, this means (at least) the following:
- Driving and unifying the overall documentation structure and processes of Merge Mansion development
- Reviewing and proofreading documentation, and assisting developers to produce consistent and easy-to-read documents
- Ensuring a single source of information that is easy to find and employ
- Building automation where applicable and leveraging AI to support development
- Working with Producers and Managers to drive documentation of important information related to development
- Creating templates for running effective meetings and producing useful and actionable information
- Driving onboarding documentation for various roles and resources, and ensuring that the information is up-to-date
- Building a culture of information sharing by introducing the best practices on how to share and store information
- Making informed decisions on tooling related to documentation and getting people onboard
Requirements
Every role is eventually shaped to match our unique passions, backgrounds and strengths. Here are some of the key skills and experience you should already have when joining Metacore as a Documentation Specialist:
- Expertise in different tooling related to documentation, wikis and other knowledge bases
- Previous work experience in setting up documentation tools, practices and guidelines
- Proactive attitude towards sourcing information and a passion for onboarding the best documentation practices for a growing team
- Good communication skills and a flair for meticulous organization
In addition to these, it would be nice but not mandatory for you to have these as well:
- Background in games, preferably working in different game projects
- Experience in Notion and/or Confluence
- Good understanding of different development methodologies
