Sales Specialists & Consultants are product, services, software, or solution specialists that are responsible for leading pursuits in their assigned focus areas. Collaborates with and supports Account Managers and provides specialist expertise within the sales team. Drives proactive campaigns to build the pipeline, and uses specialized knowledge and skills to prospect, qualify, negotiate and close opportunities. May have named accounts allocated, cover a designated geography, or may be allocated to one high-potential, competitive attack account.
How You’ll Make your Mark:
Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine the best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and solve customers’ pain points through Aruba’s unique value proposition.
- Embrace selling disruptive technology to educate key decision-makers in organizations in your territory.
- Prospect into accounts within your territory and find leads to qualify for your Enterprise Sales counterpart.
- Email, call, and send LinkedIn messages to meet and exceed daily/weekly/monthly goals, to fill the pipeline with well-qualified sales opportunities.
- Manage inbound inquiries and lead management.
- Strive to exceed targets for daily activities, and monthly and quarterly pipeline goals.
- Conduct high-level conversations with mid and senior-level executives in the security space.
- Learn, get better, hit your numbers, and raise your game–each day.
The technology:
SSE (ZTNA, SWG, and CASB) and SD-WAN in a complete cloud offering with unmatched security and networking integration.
What you’ll need:
- 2+ years’ experience as an SDR/BDR, or inside sales professionals in a B2B SaaS technology company (preferred)
- Security industry experience a plus.
- Results oriented, metrics driven track record.
- Willingness to try new concepts and open to coaching.
- Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial and self-starting environment leveraging your creativity, insight, and intellect.
- Experience with CRM solutions, salesforce.com preferred.
- Strong organization and time management skills with excellent verbal and written skills.
- Innovative, motivated, organized, high energy team player with attention to detail and a good sense of humor.
- You have a history of over-achievement in your career and are in the top 10% in your current organization.
- You are hungry to learn and develop making you highly coachable.
- A self-starter who looks to solve problems, drive pipeline, and execute.
- A learner who invests in self-development to continually become better each day.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related area preferred.
