Responsibilities & Job Duties:
- Electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures are installed, repaired, and maintained in buildings or industrial environments.
- Troubleshooting problems with existing electrical systems in order to determine appropriate solutions for repair.
- Installing or repairing wires and cables to provide power to buildings or machinery.
- Working with contractors to plan electrical projects, including design and layout of electrical systems.
- Installing wiring devices, such as light fixtures, electrical panels, thermostats, smoke detectors, intercom systems, and more.
- Installing electrical equipment in commercial and industrial facilities, such as computers, security systems, and telephone lines.
- Repairing electrical equipment, such as motors, generators, breakers, transformers, wiring, and circuit boards.
- Testing electrical equipment for proper functioning after repairs are complete.
- Inspecting electrical equipment for defects and maintaining records of findings.
Requiered skills:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or GED for a wireman is required.
- Must be registered in EWA as a wireman.
- Electrical skills.
- Good English communication skills.
- Physical stamina.
